Gent’s formative years as a teenage musician mostly involved skipping afternoon classes with his friends to have hours-long jam sessions. Realizing that he didn’t want to do anything else other than play the bass, Gent moved away from his friendly community in Prince Albert to study electric bass in Alberta. He later found himself working on a cruise ship as an upright bassist, playing everything from a Cha-Cha to a Burt Bacharach medley. Gent made his triumphant return to Saskatchewan in 2009, and has since established himself as one of the most versatile and “in-demand” bass players in the province.
Grant has been involved at Connect for over 10 years and enjoys being a part of it all.
